Blasphemy! Blasphemy, I say!
Disney is coming out with a new cartoon series for Winnie the Pooh in 2007. They are replacing Christopher Robin! With a "tomboyish, 6 year old girl." Clearly TPTB at Disney need to be smacked repeatedly with the smitey book. These people are clearly of very, very little brain.

How on earth can they replace Christopher Robin?! The books are about Christopher Robin and his toys. Notice that? HIS.

Anyway, there weren't any girls in the 100 acre wood!

.
Uh - yeah. At that age, there's very little difference between a boy and a "tomboyish girl"... so why not leave it a boy? It's not "proving" anything to put a female in the role in this instance (like when Starbuck became female in BSG), so why mess with tradition?

Idiots.

That's like replacing Pooh bear with Kenny the Koala!!!! I think we should start a protest and fight for the rights of Christopher Robin. *eg* (Bet they send him off to boarding school)
